We retain the right to life and liberty, and gain the right to just, impartial protection of our property. Jus t as in the Declaration of Independence it says We hold these truths to be obvious, that all men are created equal, that they are entitled by their Creator with certain mandatory Rights, that among these Life, Liberty, and the hunt of Happiness. Therefore the Declaration of Independence got the idea Life, Liberty, and pursuit happiness from the Social Contract.
